It does not communicate across the 1771 I/O backplane; Channel 3A Default: The module’s channel 3A default is Autonegotiate 10/100 half duplex; Enhancements: The module is capable of managing a sustained Ethernet traffic rate of 45 frames per 10 ms interval, should traffic exceed that the module activates a storm-handling mechanism. Includes: PLC-5 58-pin connector header, user manual.

Miscellaneous:	The Allen-Bradley 1785-ENET PLC-5 EtherNet/IP Interface Module adds a second Ethernet port to an existing Ethernet PLC-5 processor providing embedded TCP/IP communication capabilities that lets the PLC-5 processor communicate with other PLC-5 processors with Ethernet ports and with host computers. Provides integration of Allen-Bradley architecture into the industry-standard TCP/IP network. 1785-ENET plugs into the side of the PLC-5 processor and takes up the first I/O module slot.
