The 1794-TB3S units plug together to form the backplane. The 1794-TB3S allows Removal & Insertion of failed modules Under Power (RIUP). When using FLEX I/O modules in a high-vibration installation, especially when mounting the DIN rail vertically, using DIN-rail locks (A-B 1492-EA35) is required to prevent accidental separation of the 1794-TB3S units.
